Donate in memory of Kenny Goff
Kenny Goff was an amazing human. He was kind, thoughtful, chronically positive, and loved to laugh. He leaves behind a lifelong trail of positive impacts and interactions and countless friends, colleagues, and students who all feel lucky to have had Kenny in their lives. He had boundless energy and a true love for the outdoors, whether skiing, climbing, running, or, new this past summer, the excitement of exploring the roads of Fremont County on his gravel bike.
Kenny died in an avalanche on January 4th on Togwotee Pass. He leaves behind many friends, his fiancée Sydney, and his family. In Kenny's memory a fund will be created at NOLS to support instructor development and all donations collected here will go directly to NOLS to help create this fund.
It's Sydney's plan to work directly with the NOLS team to help create the fund. Her hope is to create an endowed fund so that Kenny's memory lives on year after year. The minimum to create an endowed fund is $150,000 and regardless of whether or not this goal is met, something meaningful will be created. We appreciate any support and know that many people are supporting in different ways as they are able.
Kenny started working for NOLS in 2017. Based in Lander, WY, NOLS is a nonprofit global wilderness school that provides immersive outdoor experience and believes in the transformative power of leadership through wilderness education.
If you would prefer to donate directly to NOLS you can do so here - on the second page you can select the option that says "My donation is in honor or in memory of someone" and can enter Kenny's name so NOLS can track this to the place.
