About National Institute of Limbic Health (INSTITUTE OF LIMBIC HEALTH)
The mission of Institute of Limbic Health is to remove obstacles to health equity through the application of interdisciplinary science in communities, juvenile justice, human services, and public policy. ILH has partnered with renowned researchers throughout the globe to launch a free podcast exposing the biological origins of emotions and behaviors that get youth and families into the correctional system, to cultivate healthy communities and prevent system involvement. Our goal is to cultivate sustainable limbic health in homes, communities and the child welfare, youth corrections continuum by educating parents, inmates, youth, and direct-care providers, in healthy limbic system processes through podcasts and roundtable discussions with research scientists and field experts with lived experience to remove barriers to survival resources, cultivate healthy communities, reduce crime, prevent youth system-invovlement, and improve treatment outcomes.
