On March 28th, 2025, a devastating earthquake struck Myanmar, leaving countless families without homes, food, and medical care. Right now, they are facing unimaginable hardship, struggling to find shelter and basic necessities.

As students from Burmese Student Associations from Abroad universities, we come together with a shared mission—to offer a beacon of hope. Through this GoFundMe campaign, we seek to provide immediate relief and support to those in desperate need.

Urgent Appeal for Myanmar Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund

On March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake devastated Myanmar, claiming many lives and leaving entire communities in ruins. Thousands of families are now without shelter, food, and access to medical care.

We are National Humanitarian Fundraising for Myanmar (NHFMM), Inc., a New York-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 871396215 - tax-deductible), founded in 2018. As a group of Myanmar nationals, we are committed to supporting those affected by this devastating tragedy. To jumpstart this relief effort, NHFMM is donating $10,000 toward emergency aid.

We are raising additional funds to provide immediate relief and long-term support. Your donations will help deliver critical aid—including temporary shelter, food, clean water, medical supplies, and assistance to grieving families—through trusted non-governmental organizations (NGOs), humanitarian groups, and reliable local contacts working directly with those impacted.

Initial reports show severe damage to buildings and roads in Sagaing, as well as in Nay Pyi Daw and Mandalay, urban centers which are home to hundreds of thousands of children. Damage has also been reported in Bangkok and other parts of Thailand.

Our teams are on the ground in affected areas, assessing the impact and preparing to support humanitarian response.
