It's back to school time! 

Our families are eager to come in-person full-time.  And while many things are beyond our control, one thing is for sure -- we are committed to giving our students the best educational experiences possible in a nurturing environment -- after a year and a half of uncertainty, which is still present in all of our lives.  

Many of our families lost loved ones and income; all students suffered socially and emotionally over the past 18 months.  Your support, big and small, is very much needed.

Here is the BIG news:  our anonymous donor is matching every dollar raised up to $50,000. Your impact will be doubled, let's do this together!

We seek funding for: 

$30,000 - simulcasting technology for robust classroom and online instruction 

$15,000 - after-school scholarships for families in need

$5,000 -- student dress code, supplies and backpack fund to provide every student with the basics they need in school

There are over 3,500 students in Hebrew charter schools in NYC, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Minnesota and California.  Over 80 percent of student families live below the poverty line.  

The current pandemic is making our work terribly fragile and puts unimaginable hardships on our most vulnerable families. 

Here is how you can help:

$20 serves breakfast and lunch to a child for two days

$25 provides 12 white boards for teachers' virtual lessons

$50 gives a family Internet access for a month to allow student learning

$250 ensures a needy student has a tablet for home use during the crisis

About the organization: Hebrew Public is a unique charter school network with a mission of leading a national movement of exceptional, diverse public charter schools that teach Modern Hebrew to children of all backgrounds and prepare them to be successful global citizens.

Over the past six months, so many of you have been helping us run remote instruction through your generous giving. 

Now we are cautiously planning for school reopening in a safe and responsible way.

On September 1, students in Hebrew Public schools in New York City and Philadelphia will be returning to our buildings in person several times a week in small groups.  On days that they will not be in school physically, we will continue to offer remote instruction.   

We are putting in place procedures to ensure safety as much as possible -- from no-touch thermometers to mask-wearing and social distancing -- we will do what it takes to keep our community healthy. 

Sadly, there is no government funding for any COVID-related equipment and tools. 

We ask you, our generous supporters, to step up and support the purchase of these items for our school communities.
