NAMI Lansing, Inc.

My group and I are MSU students in a class that focuses on society and how affects and treats the youth. We have to create a project based on a topic that directly relates to youth whether it be negative or positive. As a group we decided we would focus on Mental health since over the past few years that has been a recent dilemma that's been affecting many young age groups from teens, preteens, and even now little kids. We also wanted to do something local for the community so we decided to start this fundraiser for the NAMI Project in Lansing Michigan.

If you don't know what the NAMI Project is, it is a foundation in Lansing Michigan that raises awareness and support to fight against mental health crisis. It was founded in 1974 as the OASIS FELLOWSHIP but in 1999 when the National Alliance for Mental Illness was formed ended up rebranding and adopting the NAMI name. Their mission is to provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental health conditions can build better lives.
