Empower 100 Students through Naija Coder Program!
Naija Coder - a US-based 5013(c) organization will organize a two-week intensive summer coding program for high schoolers in 2024. The program will be in August, and we need your incredible support to make it happen!
In the summer of 2023, we organized a similar program, and it was a massive success! We now have over 150 applicants for the 2024 slots. We want to select 100 students and need your contributions to purchase learning materials and more.
Why Are We Doing This?
Thousands of Nigerian high schoolers have little to no exposure to the basics of algorithms and programming. We believe this should change as programming offers these students, especially those from indigent backgrounds, an opportunity to learn profitable skills and ignite their passions for problem-solving and critical thinking. In 2011 Marc Andreessen said 'Software will eat the world'; we see that happening today and for the foreseeable future. We want to position Nigerian students on a path toward learning algorithms, building software, and solving problems.
