Help outfit MYBirdClub Youth Birdwatchers with Binoculars
We raised enough to buy our first set of binoculars but... we can still use your help!
Every tax deductible donation will go to adding more free birdwatching outings to our calendar and get a second set so we can do even more outings.
We've used up our existing 2024 grants already. But we love getting out on the trail with these young birders.
We initially raised enough to buy 20 binoculars and 4 monoculars thanks to numerous donations. Quality binoculars make all the difference for birders - and for youth birders especially.
Their smaller hands, smaller faces and fidgetier hands make learning to bird just a little more challenging.
Enter Nocs Provisions. They have agreed to give MYBirdClub 40% off (also tax free) putting quality optics well within our reach.
We need at least 20 binoculars and 2 monoculars for every outing we lead.
But more is better! We would love to have 40 binoculars and 6 monoculars to really expand our program
Your tax-deductible donation will be put to work right away! You can even sponsor a pair!
- $105 outfits buys a pair of binoculars (normally $175 + tax) - We need 19+
- $45 buys a monocular (normally $75 + tax) - We need 3+
Each pair we can purchase will have a MYBirdClub ID tag on it along with the name(s) of a sponsor - even if you can only give a little.
Why nocs?
- 8x32 power binoculars and monoculars offer clear viewing with a wide angle (you can see more and better)
- Monoculars are easier to use for our youngest birders - and some older birders prefer them
- Lightweight so they offer long-lasting comfort on the trail - no more asking people to carry them
- Twist out eyecups - no more rubber flip-down ones that wear out
- A tight diopter ring - no more taping down diopter rings with electrical tape every season
- Durable components - waterproof and fogproof in a cool MYBirdClub blue
- A small interpupillary distance (distance between eyecups) - so they fit kids' small faces a lot better
- Smooth focus knob - so much easier for kids to adjust with their smaller hands
- Lifetime Warranty
What has MYBirdClub done up to now?
For 10 years we have borrowed binoculars from the Minnesota Ornithologists Union - for which we have been incredible grateful. The rest we have cobbled together.
Please Support Our Young Birders Today!
Our ultimate goal is 40 sets of binoculars and 8 monoculars.
MYBirdClub offers free, professionally guided birdwatching adventures for youth and their grownups. All our adventures are free and any birder of any ability and experience is welcome to join us.
