Dear Friends, Family, and Community Members:

We need your help keeping our dream alive...

Two years ago, we acquired a space for our Rescue Center & Senior Sanctuary. This 5-acre property is intended to serve as a haven for senior or unadoptable Boxers to live out their lives through kennel runs, expansive play space, and much more.

We are currently in a lease-to-own contract and have poured around $100,000 worth of resources and equipment into creating a place where love, care, and rehabilitation will thrive.

But we are in jeopardy of losing the property, which is why we need your help!

Due to changing circumstances, we must purchase the property by December 24, 2024. The total cost of the property is $600,000 and we are $250,000 short. As the Founder, I have been pre-approved for a loan to purchase, but $250,000 remains unfunded. If we

don’t raise this amount, we will have to move off the property and our long-time dream of giving Boxers the second chance they deserve will vanish.

Noodle Our Christmas Miracle Boy
Update! Noodle had another surgery 1/30/2019 do to a fever, swelling and abscess on his back leg, the poor kid can't catch a break and been thru more then most dogs and humans in a life time, between all the surgeries in the past two months it's completely drained the rescue funds. Thank you for your love & support when helping save these precious souls.

This sweet young boy is 3-month-old Noodle. He’s a Boxer-mix who recently found himself badly in need of surgery after some sort of accident that left him with severe fractures in 3 of his legs. A person brought him into a California shelter saying he found Noodle after he was hit by a car, so that’s all we have to go on in regard to how he got hurt.

Thankfully, one of our friends of rescue saw a post about this little guy and reached out to us for help. We immediately agreed to welcome Noodle to our family and get him the medical care he needed. He was examined at Desert Care Animal Hospital in Hesperia , CA , and thanks to Dr. McClaine contacting a friend of hers who is an Orthopedic Surgeon, Noodle got to have the life-saving surgeries he needed on Monday, December 3, 2018. The following are from his surgeon, Dr. Behrenfeld’s, notes.

Treatment completed:

1. Rear right leg – Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO) (click here for more info FHO - https://www.topdoghealth.com/library/orthopedic-surgery/articles-surgery/femoral-head-osteotomy-fho-dogs/)

2. Rear right leg – Bone Plate/Screw Femur Reconstruction

3. Rear left leg – Cross-Pin Tibia Reduction/Fixation

4. Front left knee – Cross-Pin Humeral Condyle Reduction/Fixation

All the procedures took at total of 4 hours. It was noted by Dr. Behrenfeld that due to Noodle’s young age, his bones are very soft, so it will be absolutely imperative that he not try to walk or put any weight on his legs for 4 weeks. He’s confident that Noodle will heal quickly though, again due to his young age. One of the veterinarian technicians at Desert Care Animal Hospital will be taking Noodle home with them every day while he recovers.

As you can imagine, all of these procedures come at a high price. We are beyond thankful for the discounts given to us by both doctors, so the amount could have been a lot more. We have already paid $5,000 as a deposit and will pay the balance due once we have that final number. If you can help us in any way to recoup the money we will spend to save Noodle’s life, we will be forever grateful. No amount is too small!!

Along with our rescue efforts, it is our goal to inform people about the realities of pet guardianship and provide education and resources to pet owners. We will promote spaying/neutering, and encourage responsible care of the Boxer to enhance the lives of owners and their companions alike. We will always strongly support and promote rescue whether it is from a shelter or an individual--anywhere there is a Boxer in need of a loving home and we will continue in this endeavor until none are left behind.
