Music Helps, a groundbreaking nonprofit committed to harnessing the healing power of music, is set to make a resounding impact with its official launch on Giving Tuesday. Founded by Andrea Magee and Dr. Kathryn J Kotrla, Music Helps aims to provide outreach programs that utilize the enriching benefits of music to heal trauma, while creating leadership and employment opportunities for professionals in the music industry.

In Loving Memory of Raymond Moore

July 17, 1994 – May 27, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Moore—beloved husband, son, friend, teacher, and passionate musician. Raymond’s life was a beautiful melody of talent, compassion, and dedication.

For over 11 years, Raymond poured his soul into music. As a gifted multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and band member, he graced countless stages and brought people together through sound. His creativity extended into the music gaming industry, where he was exploring new ways to merge technology with artistic expression.

In recent years, Raymond discovered a profound calling in musical education. He found joy in teaching and mentoring young musicians, sharing not just his skills but his heart. He deeply loved the children of the community and believed that every young person deserved access to the transformative power of music.

To honor his legacy, our family is opening a Memorial Music Fund in Raymond’s name. This fund will help support and empower youth in their pursuit of musical expression and education—carrying forward the light he so generously shared with others.

Though his song on earth has ended, Raymond’s music lives on in every note played by those he inspired.
