HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
Family, Music Changing Lives (MCL) Needs Your Help!
Over the past 25 years Music Changing Lives has had many homes.
We have served our community at school sites, community centers, offices, churches, parks, colleges, parking lots, warehouses and, in the case of our toy giveaway, sometimes out of the trunk of a car.
Our goal has been to serve our community through the arts and we do it with open hearts.
Like so many nonprofits, the location of our services largely depends on the will of uncaring landlords and boards who care more about their self interest than the needs of those we serve.
We have had many locations to serve our community in the Inland Empire, from Moreno Valley, Redlands, San Bernardino and everywhere in between, but none have provided the stability we need to truly serve those most in need.
But with your help, we can change that narrative and establish our roots permanently with the purchase of our own building.
Today, we are asking you to uplift and grow with us. We are a foundation built on faith so we’re asking you for prayers to help us meet our goals and if you feel so inclined, please consider a financial contribution to our building campaign.
We need a home and we ask for your help to reach this goal.
To do this we need 100% engagement. We’re asking every person who believes in Music Changing Lives to donate to this building fund campaign. Whether you have a lot or a little to give, we’re all in this story together.
So please consider making a contribution by clicking the link below.

Why do we want to buy a building?
1. A safe makers space for the youth
In a time where we’re losing our children to drugs and crime, we have desired to root ourselves in areas with little to do for young adults. We desire to grow tall, create productive citizens, and uplift the at-promise youth and adults of our city.
2. End the brain drain in our region
A building would enable us to expand the breadth of our work beyond the schedule of our school site partners or community centers' timeframes of being open to the public to a more holistic, integrated model of service. Our dream is to show hospitality and justice to foster children, families in need, and our at-promise neighbors. We desire to have a space for our change agents, leadership development classes, space for our youth, grow towers, and much more.
3. A Permanent Space in the City
Our hope is that our building can become a beacon of light to the community and we believe the warehouse we’ve already begun beautifying is the first of many. We believe this location in Thousand Palms would give us a rooted presence in the city and the low desert.
What will it take?
2,000,000 GOAL
April 2023 – JULY 2023
Our goal is to raise $2,000,000 in 90 days this would support the purchase of the building and funding to sustain our regular annual budget. Because of unforeseen circumstances, we have 3 months to find a home for Music Changing Lives.
We were under the impression we had a year and a half to begin saving for the building we’ve made our Headquarters for the last year but due to unforeseen issues. This timeline has been cut short to just 90 days. If for any reason the building is rented or purchased in our fundraising process, we will use the funds collected for another building to ensure that we are never in this predicament again.
Sincerely,
