About Music and Kids

Music and Kids is a private, non-profit organization operating under chapter 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, established to bridge the growing gap between government-funded educational programs and private funding. Music and Kids is focused on helping bridge that divide in three ways: by raising awareness, giving opportunity and building a community of love through music. Music and Kids, started by Chuck Murphy, an award-winning, Billboard charting singer-songwriter from Palmdale, CA, founding principle is to help young people learn about the music industry, develop their talents, and pursue careers in music. The dream for Music and Kids is to have music and instrument programs that are one-on-one, with qualified instructors, fully funded by the program, so each individual child can get the maximum benefits from the time they are spending with us, regardless of their financial situation.
