On April 5, MSMS participated in Vermont History Day, a statewide competition to showcase original research-based history projects. Students compete with scholars across the state, and the top winners are invited to National History Day in June at the University of Maryland. National History Day is a fifty-year-old event that showcases student work from all U.S. states and territories. This year, 23 MSMS students qualified to enter the National History Day competition!!

MSMS is going to cover the cost of the entry fees, but families are still responsible for transportation and accommodations. We want every student to be able to attend, so we are asking for donations to help with these expenses. Anything you can provide to assist these families to allow their students to experience this amazing opportunity will be greatly appreciated.

POPCORN FRIDAY is back! The Main Street Middle School Caregivers Alliance (MSMS CA) is excited to return to one of our most beloved (and delicious) programs.

With your help, we can fund these special days so that all students and staff can enjoy popcorn without worrying about how to pay for it. Please consider donating any amount that feels comfortable to you. Contributions pay for popcorn supplies and help support the MSMS CA in our many additional events and programs.

$1 - $5 - Any size donation helps - THANK YOU!

$15 - Pays for popcorn for one student for the year

$25 - One day of popcorn for an entire grade

$45 - A year of popcorn for your student plus 2 of their classmates!

$100 - One Friday's popcorn for the entire school!

$150 - Pay for a whole year's supply of Nutritional Yeast

$300 - Enough to feed an entire classroom for the year!

Give what you can, if you can - either way, we are very excited that corn will be popping** again at MSMS!

With your help, we will provide students with a healthy snack and also help pay for other MSMS CA projects, including field trips, classroom support, staff appreciation events, support for clubs, dances, family assistance and much more!

In March of 2024, UESCA helped the 88-student-strong fourth grade (+ teachers) attend a film specially selected for the 10-year-old crowd as part of the return of the Green Mountain Film Festival. The film was Robot Dreams, and by all accounts, it was a fun, enriching experience that aimed to connect young people to their community, the arts, and with the creative sector generally, in which many of their grownups work and thrive.
