Support Monroe Senior Center's Table and Chair Need.
The Monroe Community Senior Center needs your help to raise $45,000 for much needed, brand new tables and chairs.
MCSC is a self-supporting nonprofit Senior and Community Center located in Monroe, Washington. Our mission is to promote the physical, emotional and economic well-being of older adults and to promote their participation in all aspects of community life.
Our current tables and chairs are over 27 years old. They are worn, broken, damaged and need replacing. We use our tables and chairs every day for many activities, groups and classes like, Quilting, Art Class, Grief Support Group, Medicare Help, Health and Wellness Services, Fundraising Events and much more!
Why $45,000?
To acquire long-lasting, durable and safe furniture that can weather another 27 years, we must purchase commercial quality equipment. The Center needs approximately 250 chairs. Each new chair will cost $165, which amazingly amounts to $41,250.
The Center needs 60 tables. Each new table will cost $145, which comes to $8,700. We hope to liquidate our existing chairs and tables, which will net approximately $5,000.
