MoCo Pride Prom 2019
We need YOUR help to make this year happen
Every student deserves to go to prom.
At the beginning of each year, leaders from the MoCo LGBTQ Youth Forum and community members come together to host a Pride Prom for the LGBTQ+ youth of Montgomery County. This is an event that allows them to attend a prom with pride, dress however they are most comfortable, and dance - without fear - with whomever they choose.
Students pay a modest ticket price to attend Pride Prom. We provide light food and refreshments, while a local DJ spins the tunes kids want to hear on the dance floor. Pictures are taken, laughs are shared, and memories are made -- just like every other prom.
For the past three years, we've held the Pride Prom at local community centers using individual resources from volunteers. Baltimore and Northern Virginia hold their Pride Proms at event venues and we feel the students of Montgomery County deserve nothing less!
But we need YOUR help!
To make this happen, we hope to raise $7,500 to make this year's Pride Prom the best yet - a new venue, better food, better decorations, and make it truly a night to remember for all!
Any individual who donates at least $100 will be listed as a Pink Level Sponsor!
