Despite the scale of this catastrophe, local authorities and government-affiliated media have attempted to downplay the situation, spreading misinformation that no famine exists. Instead, they have promoted a narrative suggesting a surplus of agricultural production and exports, obscuring the truth and hindering the ability of aid organizations to respond effectively.

በወሎ ቡግና ወረዳ እና አካባቢው የተፈጠረውን ሰውሰራሽ ርኃብ እያሰከተለ ያለውን ሞት ለመከላከል የቀረበ አስቸኳይ የድጋፍ ጥሪ::

ሁላችንም እንደምናውቀው በአገራችን ኢትዮጵያ ዐማራ ክልል በወሎ ክፍለ ሀገር በቡግና ወረዳ እና አካባቢው በተፈጥሮ እና ሰው ሰራሽ ችግር ምክንያት እጅግ አሰቃቂ የሆነ ረሀብ ተከስቷል። በዚህም ሳቢያ ብዙ ወገኖቻቸን የሚልሱት የሚቀምሱት አጥተው በሞት እያለቁ ነው።በዚህ ክፉ ረሀብ ከመቶሺዎች እስከ ሚልዮን የሚደርሱ ወገኖቻችን በቀጥታ ተጠቂዎች ሆነዋል። በተለይም አሁን ያለው ጦርነት እና የሰላም እጦት እርዳታ ለማሰባሰብና በበቂ ሁኔታ ለማድረስ አዳጋች ስላደረገው ጉዳቱ ተባብሶ ሕፃናትና ነፍሰ ጡሮችን እንዲሁም የሚያጠቡ እናቶች ጨምሮ ክቡር የሆነውን የሰውንሕይወት በብዛት ወደመቅጠፍ ተሸጋግሯል።በጥቂት ድጋፍ መትረፍ ይሚችሉ ነፍሳት በአሰቃቂ ሁኔታ እየረገፉ ነው።
