San Diego Marathon Fundraiser for Miracle Babies
Hi friends and family!
Meghan and Packy had little Leo James Baker join the party a bit earlier than expected! On April 6, he was born at 27 weeks and transferred to Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. Since then, he's been receiving world-class care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and is now doing great! One of the doctors that ensured Leo’s safe arrival, Dr. Sean Daneshmand, started the Miracle Babies charity in 2009 to support families with hospitalized newborns. Packy and Meghan travel back and forth between home and the hospital every day to spend as much time as possible with Leo. These long days and travel take a major toll on families mentally, physically, and financially, and Miracle Babies helps to support families that need assistance for that exact reason.
Jim will be running the San Diego Rock'n'Roll Marathon this year on June 4 and will be running in honor of Miracle Babies. We are asking that you help make an impact on the many families who get surprised by an early arrival! Miracle Babies is dedicated to helping perinatal mothers and their families during their time of need by providing transportation, mental health assistance, and supportive services.
