About McAhic Inc (Montgomery County Association for Hearing Impaired Children)
MCAHIC's mission is to provide a forum for disseminating and exchanging information on educational, developmental, and social issues affecting deaf and hard-of-hearing children. We embrace any communication approach that will help our children succeed in the classroom and in the world at large. The Montgomery County Association for Hearing Impaired Children was established in 1959 by a small group of concerned parents in Montgomery County, Maryland. Today, in partnership with professionals and families, we are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to encouraging the educational development and achievement of our deaf and hard-of-hearing children.
