2018 PCT 5K: Run for What Matters
Dear friends:
On April 14th, Phi Chi Theta at the University of Michigan is hosting its 3rd annual 5K in honor of The Matthew Bittker Foundation.
The Matthew Bittker Foundation is one close to our hearts as one of our members lost a brother in 2007 after an 18-month battle with Neuroblastoma.
The Foundation is dedicated to funding research for Neuroblastoma and other types of pediatric cancer. There is a lack of funding for pediatric cancer research because many funding decisions favor proposals based on the number of incidents versus the number of life years saved. The Foundation helps bridge this funding gap and discover more effective treatments for Neuroblastoma and other forms of pediatric cancer. It aims to provide these children and families with the hope that they can become adults.
