2,977 innocent and unsuspecting individuals. 2,977 victims of senseless and unprovoked acts of violence and terrorism. 2,977 flags in honor and memory of those who lost their lives in four coordinated terrorist attacks twenty years ago on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
The 20th Anniversary Memorial 9/11 Field of Flags will be held September 4 – September 18, 2021 (flag removal will begin the morning of 9/18) at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park in Marietta, GA. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Marietta, this memorial has become one of the largest commemorative events in the nation, and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
How can you be involved?
-Donate here on GoFundMe. A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and will help fund this meaningful project and ensure its continuation in the future.
-Sign up today to carry a flag in the processional on Sept. 4th for the installation of flags. This is a wonderful service project for individuals, families, and groups. With 2,977 flags, we obviously need lots of helping hands!
-Visit the 9/11 Field of Flags, including the memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021.
