Roger Brannan Debate Scholarship
This campaign is designed to make it easy for Manhattan High School debate alumni to contribute to the Roger Brannan Debate Scholarship Fund, which we noticed only takes "checks." I'm pretty sure that we-- Brannan's kids-- can raise a LOT more money for this using, y'know, modern fundraising methods (no offense to The Manhattan-Ogden Public Schools Foundation). These funds, minus some pesky GoFundMe fees, go directly to the Foundation and will be earmarked for this fund by the campaign. They may be tax deductible depending on your situation.
Campaign goal has been upped! I learned from the manager of the fund that we are adding to a pot that is larger than I knew. We need to make a MAJOR IMPACT, so I've increased the target to 28,000- 10% of the current fund. Let's do it!
The scholarship is provided:
*To an Outstanding student in debate/forensics
*Two year participation in debate and forensics is required; include a statement of tournament participation results and NFL points.
*Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded, renewable for up to 4 years with maintenance of a 3.0 GPA.
I hope you'll join me in sharing your good fortune with the scholarship fund in order to acknowledge Mr. and Mrs. Brannan's collective legacy in Manhattan.
