Manhasset Great Neck Economic Opportunity Council

Hi! I am Samantha Kinloch. I am a junior at Manhasset High School. I am running a half marathon on June  20, 2020 to raise much needed funds for the Manhasset Great Neck Economic Opportunity Council, Inc.. I was planning a spring art supply drive for the EOC but due to the global pandemic my focus has changed. Many of the families of the EOC have lost their jobs and are in need of food. The funds I raise will go towards cleaning supplies, toiletries and diapers for the EOC. 

The Manhasset Great Neck EOC was incorporated in 1966 as a non for profit community action program to advocate for low income families. The EOC helps at risk families with housing, food and education. The programs they provide are  Head Start, a Summer Camp and a Youth Program.   If you would like more  information on the EOC programs please go to mgneoc.com.

As an avid runner one of my goals has been to run a half marathon and I thought it would be good to run it for an important cause. I am planning on running my own (social distant) half marathon through Manhasset, Port Washington and Sands Point. I am hoping to raise $100 for each mile that I run. My goal is ambitious but I feel this is an important initiative.
