1 in 3 women deal with chronic daily pain and 1 in 4 are prevented from doing everyday activities because of it. nearly triple the amount of women deal with autoimmune diseases than men. women spend 25% more of their lives in poor health or with disabilities than men despite living longer.

Despite these facts, there is an undeniably steep gap in health research and funding between men and women. because of the lack of research and public awareness on women’s health, women receive inappropriate, ineffective and harmful treatments that greatly impact their lives.

Magee Women’s Research Institute was founded in 1992 by a woman and the first organization that strictly funds women’s health research; including topics like cancer, fertility, pregnancy, diseases, HIV, and more.

I am raising money for this foundation as a women who deals with under researched feminine health issues and knows many women who do as well.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.

The Women & Pediatric Care Association is a club at Pitt committed to helping Magee-Womens advance women’s health through lifesaving research & patient care. From pioneering treatments for cancer to improving maternal health, your support fuels research that changes lives. Through WPCA, students at Pitt who are interested in funding women and pediatric healthcare can directly support those in their community by donating to our cause. It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Help support breast cancer survivors and research with all GoFundMe proceeds donated to the Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation!

Pink Warriors is the ONLY breast cancer awareness club on Pitt's campus! We are holding our annual walk as a club and we'd love you to donate and celebrate with us. We chose to donate this year to Magee-Womens Foundation, advancing scientific knowledge and research in womens' health. Every dollar counts and we appreciate any and all support!

Our 2025 October Walk for Breast Cancer on October 19th at 1 PM at the William Pitt Union Fifth Ave Patio, Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15260. There will be snacks, prizes, and games! Participants will embark on a short lap around Pitt's campus to demonstrate solidarity with breast cancer survivors and the cause. There is a walk registration fee of $5, so please make sure to donate that here, through the GoFundMe, or bring cash in person to the walk. We cannot accept Venmo!
