Help Lyndon Recreation get to the SPRING SEASON.
Please help Lyndon Recreation stay afloat, and make a spring season possible.
Due to COVID-19, we missed spring ball this year. Luckily, we are able to gear up and run a Summer 2020 season - it's going to be so good to see the fields full of kids again. Spring 2021 is not a guaranteed thing. Lyndon Recreation is facing financial hardships, and will need help to keep its quality programs running into the spring.
Lyndon just completed a beautiful renovation of the parks including the new entrance and parking, new playground, sidewalks, and covered picnic pavilion. As part of AB Tom Sawyer Park, it's a wonderful neighborhood resource, but Lyndon Rec is supported entirely by program registration fees. With lower registration due to COVID restrictions, and the loss of our traditional spring fundraising, expenses have out-paced income. The kids can't play without balls, diamond dirt, umpires, mowed outfields, and team equipment - and we don't want them to.
We want to continue offering quality, safe, exciting, and inclusive programs to Louisville. We want kids to continue learning the value of hard work, the love of the game, the importance of teamwork, and that the ballpark is a place where everyone is truly welcome. We are counting on you to help us do that.
Every February, folks start getting tired of the cold, grey days and begin looking forward to spring. One of the first signs that it's just about here are Tee-ball, baseball, and softball signups. For more than 40 years, Lyndon Recreation has been an essential part of families’ lives. We look forward to getting outside for practices, seeing the new jerseys, making friends, and cheering at games. Kids are so excited to say, "I'm playing at Lyndon!" - and we're excited for them. Help us keep that February excitement coming!
