About LOXAHATCHEE RIVER HISTORICAL SOCIETY INC (Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum)
As stewards of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum and a partner in the National Conservation Lands, the Loxahatchee River Historical Society preserves and interprets the diverse heritage, ancient cultural history and sensitive natural systems of the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area and the Loxahatchee River watershed region. Responsibilities include maintaining and conserving the 1860 Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, Oil House, Modica Family and Joe Namath Foundation Keepers Workshop, 1892 Tindall Pioneer Homestead, 1940 WWII Building housing a history museum, and the natural setting of this unique waterfront heritage site. We provide a variety of interpretive tours, educational programs, special events, and memorable experiences to over 100,000 annual visitors.
