Rescued from the streets of Compton, Grace has already survived more than any dog should. She was abused, forced to have puppies for profit, and left to fend for herself—she was rescued with a black eye (photo on here ). Despite everything, she’s the sweetest soul. Friendly, gentle, and so full of love.

Now that she’s safe in foster care, Grace needs professional training to help her fully heal and become the adoptable dog we know she can be. She’s working through fear, anxiety, and the trauma of her past—and with the right support, she’ll absolutely thrive.

Meet Baby Biscuit, the sweetest little soul who has already been through so much. This brave girl was cruelly abandoned on the side of the road simply because she was different. She was later taken to a high-kill shelter in Southern California, where her future was uncertain—until we stepped in to give her the love and second chance she deserves.

Baby Biscuit was born with juvenile cataracts, leaving her completely blind. She also has some physical abnormalities, including bowed legs, but none of that stops her from being the happiest, most loving pup. Despite everything she has endured, she wags her tail nonstop and greets every day with joy.

We want to give Baby Biscuit the gift of sight, but we need your help. With cataract surgery, she has a strong chance of being able to see for the first time, opening up a whole new world of possibilities for her. Every donation—big or small—will go directly toward her medical care, surgery, and post-operative treatment.

Hi, I'm a volunteer for a rescue and we saved a number of dogs from South LA during the fires. This dog, William was one we could not take. He was medical. To this day his eyes haunt me and he wants a decent home. He has a tumor on his shoulder and no one will adopt him and he will end up dead soon. I would like to take him and foster him in my home where I have 2 other huskies until the end or until he is healthy and can be adopted, either way. Please donate for his care. He will need food, supplies, veterinarian care, ongoing monitoring, possible surgery, biopsy. Your donation is tax deductible and will go to a credible Rescue, Loves Legacy Rescue.

For a pup so young, Sasha has already known far too much heartbreak. Brought home as an adorable puppy with the cutest agouti mask and fluffy fur, she quickly outgrew her original family’s patience. Instead of the training and attention she desperately needed, Sasha was shuttled between relatives, each unable or unwilling to provide consistent care. Most of her vet visits were limited to discounted shots at the feed store—no real routine exams, no proper medical oversight. She was left alone for hours, sometimes slipping out of the yard just to find something resembling a normal dog’s life.

Now, there’s an urgent concern that Sasha might be pregnant, and we need to get her to a vet as soon as possible. Whether or not she’s carrying puppies, Sasha absolutely needs life-saving vaccines (to protect her from Parvo, distemper, and other threats), as well as spaying or the necessary medical attention if she is indeed pregnant. It breaks our hearts to think that this gentle girl might bring new lives into the world without the safe, supportive environment she deserves.

Despite her rough start and uncertain future, Sasha is still full of love—she just needs a family committed to giving her structure, patience, and a warm place to call home. We at PNW want to ensure Sasha’s next chapter is one of hope, health, and stability. But we can’t do it alone.

She is currently at boarding until she is able to go to training. She will need a foster home when she gets out.

Toffee: The Gentle Soul

Toffee’s journey is one of quiet resilience. Left behind in a cage with his mom, he then got lost for months in the desert, surviving scorching heat and even a coyote attack. Despite it all, Toffee’s heart remains soft. He’s shy, sensitive, and relies on Ashley to help him feel safe. He dreams of a calm, loving home where he can finally let his guard down. Training will give Toffee the tools he needs to overcome his fears and embrace a life of security and love.

Both Ashley and Toffee carry the weight of their pasts. Ashley’s high energy and prey drive need structure, while Toffee’s shyness and anxiety require gentle encouragement. Training is their chance to overcome the scars of trauma, build trust, and learn the skills that will help them thrive in forever homes.

Baby Siku was rescued from euthanasia today by Love’s Legacy Rescue and had a sponsor for a trip to a husky-loving home in southern Indiana. While waiting for his freedom transport this afternoon he suffered a series of multiple, minute-long seizures.

He's now at the vet and his transport donations are going toward his medical, that is racking up as I type. This loving, young boy has a perfect health slate and we're worried he received double-vaccinations or, maybe, as the vet pointed out they gave him Frontline for flea medication upon leaving the shelter which can induce seizures.

Siku almost found his way to forever and now we're seeking an emergency foster, covering his vet bills, and (hopefully) can raise enough to cover his freedom ride home to Indiana.

Please help us give Siku a second chance at this next chapter. He's a young husky at a California high kill shelter, and he was becoming a statistic when his foster family found him.

Hi, my name is Shadow and I need your help!

I'm a 3-month-old Shepherd-Husky boy who landed at Riverside shelter, a high-kill shelter in CA. A wonderful rescue stepped up to save me. But once I got to my foster's house, I got sick. It turns out I have Parvo! It is a very deadly disease for puppies.

Please help save my life. I need expensive treatments and the rescue can't afford it all. After two days at the vet, I am doing well enough to go home!! But I will still need monitoring and possibly more vet visits.

I am so sweet and handsome! I also am looking for a foster or forever home when I am well enough.

URGENT HELP NEEDED

We're devastated to share the heartbreaking news of two dogs abandoned in small cages in Los Angeles. One of them is a female covered in scars and areas of hair loss. The other is a male, her son, equally in need of care and compassion.

On August 23rd, a heartbreaking plea from Love’s Legacy Rescue reached us on Instagram. They spoke of a dog named Merlin, who was scheduled to lose his life the following day at a nearby dog shelter. He needed an immediate foster family to pick him up or he wouldn't see another day.

When we arrived, we found Merlin—a beautiful husky/malamute mix. The scars on his body and around his neck told us that there must be many untold sad stories about this tender pup. Despite being in pain and discomfort, he welcomed us with gentle affection and even found comfort in Xenia's embrace during the ride home.

The weeks since have been a whirlwind of veterinary visits, grooming sessions, and an abundance of love. Though the shelter estimated Merlin to be six years old, our vets believe he’s younger. With his vaccinations complete and his health on the mend, we’ve given him a new name—Kairos (Kai). The name “Kairos” means the right moment for grace and joy, a fitting tribute to the fresh start we hope to provide him.

Kai has made remarkable strides, but he still struggles with behavioral issues around other dogs and basic training. This has created a challenging environment in our home, particularly for our other rescued husky/malamute mix, KoKo. We have partitioned our home in two areas to keep them separated.

Kai has skin and stomach issues that we are managing, but to give him the chance he deserves, we believe enrolling him in a specialized training program is essential. This program will address his social behaviors and basic obedience, equipping Kai with the tools he needs to become a well-adjusted, confident dog.

The cost of this training is substantial, and we need your help to make it possible. Your generous donations will cover the training and transportation costs, directly contributing to Kai’s new beginning. Kai is a loving dog who has never received the guidance he needs.
