Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation
About Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation
The Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation (LAPRF) provides funds towards equipment and expenses for LAPD Reserve Officers and LAPD Reserve Recruits who demonstrate a financial hardship. The LAPRF provides limited financial assistance towards the creation of specialized Reserve Units authorized by the LAPD. The LAPRF also provides resources for additional, vital training not otherwise provided by LAPD so Reserve Officers can better maintain their California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requirements, publishes the “Rotator" newsletter, and honors Reserve Officers acknowledged by their Divisions and Bureaus ultimately selecting a “Reserve Officer of the Year." These expenses are not included in the budgets for the LAPD or the City of Los Angeles.
