About LAPD Devonshire PALS

Founded in 1973, LAPD Devonshire PALS (Police Activities League Supporters) is committed to fostering positive character development in youth, reducing juvenile crime, and enhancing community safety. Through after-school enrichment programs, we support at-risk, low-income children and teens, helping them build strong, trusting relationships with law enforcement and their community.

In response to the growing need for youth services in southern Northridge, our community united to open a dedicated youth center in this underserved area. Since its opening in October 2009, LAPD Devonshire PALS has continued to provide year-round activities that build trust, promote understanding, and create lasting bonds between young people, the LAPD, and the local community.

Our programs offer more than just recreational activities—we provide mentorship, life skills training, academic support, and opportunities for personal growth. These programs empower youth to overcome the challenges they face and inspire them to achieve their full potential. From tutoring and college prep to sports leagues and community service projects, we provide a safe, positive space where young people can thrive.
