Lord of Life Lutheran Church

Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Ponte  Vedra Fl. prospered for years when disaster struck.  Our sanctuary was condemned due to black mold.  With God's help, we kept our spirits up and we've continued to worship in an open air stable on our property for the last 10 years.

We have made improvements to the stable to hold us until we could build a church that would protect us from the Florida heat, bugs and cold weather.  The situation has taken a toll which has led to fewer regular and elderly members, but everyone who worships here is committed to see a new sanctuary become a reality.

Several years ago we started this process.  We formed a committee, engaged an architect, had plans for the new sanctuary approved by the local governing bodies and ordered the steel for the building.  We had a ground breaking ceremony three years ago -- and then encountered more hurdles.

Hurricanes Irma and Michael in 2017 and 2018 resulted in building codes being changed and the cost of materials increased.  New plans had to be created and resubmitted.  We held a building campaign with our members and have sought additional funding.  But we have not been able to secure the remaining funding through banks or private means, even though we own the land we're on.

We need your help to build this Lutheran church which is the only one in this zip code.  We want to be as active a church as we once were with bible study, classes for children, space for the community to gather and to spread God's word in our growing community.  We want to help more people find God's love.

We have the building components on the property and  it's sad to see the steel affected by the salt air.  Please help us with your generous, tax deductible contribution.  If we could just get the infrastructure set and the building up we know we could focus more on God's work with our hands.
