Welcome to a defining moment for the Muslim Community of Lodi. As our community flourishes, the need for a space that can fully accommodate our spiritual, educational, and communal activities becomes increasingly critical.
Our Story
The Lodi Muslim Mosque founded in 1978, which has been the center of the Lodi Muslim community, was recently blessed by Allah with the opportunity to purchase the United Congregational Christian Church located at 701 South Hutchins Street, in Lodi California.
From our humble beginnings to becoming a cornerstone of Islamic life in our town, Lodi Muslim Mosque has been dedicated to serving the spiritual and educational needs of our community. Our journey has been filled with milestones that reflect our commitment to faith, learning, and unity. Today, we stand at the threshold of a new chapter, driven by the same mission that has guided us from the start.
The Imperative for Expansion
The Lodi Muslim Mosque currently has UNTIL October 1st, 2024 to raise a total of 2.2 million dollars to acquire the church property and fund the necessary renovations. If Allah allows us to accomplish this objective, we will be able to fulfill the following needs for our community members:
- Sufficient space to accommodate our growing community members: Our current location located at 210 Poplar Street in Lodi Ca, does not adequately accommodate the growing population of Muslims in our city. With over four thousand members, growing year by year, and one hundred and twenty students in our daily Quran classes, this new location will provide us the space we need for all those who attend our masjid.
- Islamic Education: The Muslims of America understand the dire need we have as a community to provide an Islamic School for our children. With this new location, which currently provides sixteen classrooms, we will be able to provide this invaluable resource to the Muslims of Lodi and the surrounding areas. With the hope of cultivating a generation of Muslims with strong Islamic identities, a love for Islam, and a desire to solve the problems we face with guidance from Allah.
- Prayer area for Women: The Lodi Muslim Mosque does not have any area to accommodate the Muslim women of our community. By financially supporting this endeavor you will provide a place for the Muslim women of Lodi to pray, teach, and learn their beautiful religion.
- Prime Location: This Facility is located in the heart of Lodi, making it easily accessible to the Muslims of our city. The location ensures that all members of our community can benefit from the services offered at this future masjid and Islamic school.
- Future Possibilities: The new property is zoned for residential use, allowing for future expansion and projects to better serve the community. This presents exciting opportunities for growth and development in the years to come.
We ask Allah that he makes us all sincere and guides us to that which pleases Him, and that he blesses all Muslims, especially those who support us in accomplishing this goal, with the ultimate achievement of his pleasure, the everlasting gift of paradise and that he makes this new location of ours a source of growth for this religion that we all love.
