Want to join us in making a difference for the thousands of victims of domestic violence who are abused each year?
LIZ’s mission is to create a website with a guided and simplified web-based interface that will help survivors of domestic abuse prepare and file petitions for domestic violence restraining orders (“DVRO’s”) against their abusers.
Particularly in the context of physically and emotionally draining abuse, victims often do not have the energy, time, freedom, and lack of surveillance to prepare and file the complex DVRO petitions; and, if the petition is rejected based on some technicality, the victim may give up. The current process is intolerably prohibitive of the access to relief for which it was originally created.
LIZ’s web application is intended to be the solution. With LIZ's assistance and experience, we will increase the likelihood that our consumers will successfully obtain a restraining order.
