Turn Chalkboards into Keyboards: LIT Rural Ghana Tech Labs
Welcome to LIT Empowerment and Support Inc.
I started LIT Empowerment because I couldn't sit by and watch dedicated teachers try to teach computer skills using a drawing on a chalkboard. Our group steps in wherever communities lack the tools to succeed.
We are a volunteer-run grassroots nonprofit dedicated to stepping in wherever children lack basic educational infrastructure. Our core mission is to bridge the digital divide by providing permanent digital learning labs, computers, laptops, and essential school supplies to students in rural and deprived communities worldwide.
Right now, millions of students are forced to learn modern tech literacy from keyboards drawn with chalk on blackboards. We turn chalkboards into keyboards.
Our Active Project: Rural Ghana Tech Labs
While our long-term vision encompasses every community held back by a lack of technology, our immediate, active campaign is focused on launching four critical digital learning labs for schools in rural Ghana. We source high-quality, refurbished workstations locally to support the local economy and eliminate shipping delays.
How Your Gift Helps:
Because we operate leanly with zero corporate office overhead, your donations go directly toward sourcing physical classroom equipment, local installation wiring, and vital logistical support for our volunteers on the ground.
• $50 fully funds a shared student access station
• $150 covers a complete working CPU workstation
• $500 powers up an entire row of technology infrastructure
A child shouldn't have to leave their village just to see a computer screen. Let’s bridge the digital divide together. Thank you for your support!
