Since 2022, Ukraine’s Frontline Hospitals (UFH) have been on the frontlines, supporting doctors who risk everything to save lives. Some fled occupation and rebuilt surgical theaters from scratch, others lived in hospitals for 2-3 months, treating waves of wounded. Many saw their medical equipment stolen or destroyed. What unites them, is that they need medical equipment to proceed with their life-saving missions.
We already helped 5 different streams of medical care in 12 hospitals in 6 frontline regions, supporting the main hospitals in the region, and on the account of our doctors are the rare on the frontline operations with the laparoscopic removal of the wounded organs, open-heart operations, and dozens of saved lives.
Why us?
Ukrainian hospitals on the frontline fight not only with the death, but also with the crisis of supplies such as medical equipment. With decreasing international aid worldwide, UFH urgently needs additional resources to procure critical medical equipment for the doctors on the frontline. As Russia’s assault intensifies, operating rooms in eastern Ukraine face daily blackouts, shelling — and severe shortages of life-saving surgical tools. Without proper instruments, doctors are forced to delay surgeries or improvise with outdated, worn-out equipment — often at the cost of lives. Some surgeons have even been forced to use construction equipment instead of proper medical tools. This is unacceptable.
Ukraine’s Frontline Hospitals (UFH), in partnership with Lifting Hands International, works directly with surgeons in high-risk hospitals to provide essential tools, trauma kits, and medical supplies. We deliver exactly what’s needed — fast, directly, and securely. To address this, LHI is launching a targeted GoFundMe campaign to support UFH in acquiring life-saving medical supplies and equipment.
How your support can help
Your donations will go directly towards purchasing medical equipment for surgeries in the following priority categories:
Neurosurgery – equipment for life-saving brain and spinal cord surgeries
Laparoscopy – modern minimally invasive surgical tools, critical to those who suffered a severe blood loss
General medical equipment – critical supplies for emergency and intensive care, which we need more in place to overcome the bottleneck which is occurring after a big attack on our people.
Why now?
The need for medical aid is growing, while funding sources are shrinking. Without proper equipment, doctors are forced to improvise. For example, in one case we replaced the saws and drills from the hardware store, and in another case we helped maxillofacial surgeons so they could use the proper dental equipment for bones instead of the manicure machine. With your support, we can change more cases like that. Fully equipped hospitals mean that more victims of the Russian aggression will survive.
Act now – every dollar saves a life!
Your donation today can mean the difference between life and death for someone in need. Please help us equip Ukraine’s frontline heroes.
