​Almost 2 years ago Stafford Nibley passed at the age of 25 from an overdose after a 10 year long battle with mental health and addiction. The Nibley family openly shared the highs of Stafford's theatre and musical performances and lows of his unfortunate struggles that saw him pass through over 30 different programs. Stafford's parents did everything they could to try and support him, and yet like many other familes with similar stories, their efforts could not save him from his internal pain.

​Stafford's brain was donated to the Lieber Institute for Brain Development , so that his brain cells can be kept alive and studied to prevent similar fates for individuals that have common genetic and cognitive behavioral traits.
