They really did adopt my entire family because my entire family has done shows—me, my brother, my mom, and my dad have all done shows here together. Lexington Children’s Theatre’s Summer Family Musical is an 18-year tradition that we hold near and dear to our hearts! This musical production casts families together in a show – putting parents, siblings, and all sorts of families on stage together to create a very special experience. We’ve seen Belle and Maurice played by a daughter-father duo, siblings as fairytale creatures, and so many more incredible dynamics created through family. Over the years hundreds of families have come together to create a very special Summer Family Musical Family, people onstage and off who have built a bond through theatre that will last a lifetime!

In its 18 years, the Summer Family Musical has grown bigger and brighter than ever – with productions like Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Seussical, and Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical to name a few! With this glorious growth comes growing expense and so this production has become LCT’s most expensive! Enter the SUMMER FAMILY MUSICAL FUND!

We’re asking you, our Summer Family Musical Family (and amazing supporters of LCT), to give what you are able to a fund that will not only sustain the Summer Family Musical but help this family-favorite continue to grow for years to come! Your donation will work to subsidize costs that come from show royalties, production investments, costume costs, and more!
