Green Bay's Leonardo da Vinci School’s Destination Imagination (DI) team, “The 4 French Fries” has qualified for the DI Global Finals in Kansas City on May 21-24th! They placed 1st at DI regionals and 2nd at Wisconsin’s state competition!

These creative and talented 5th graders need your help! The cost to attend is high: $5500 for registration, plus hotel and travel expenses. They are a highly motivated team and are working on numerous fundraising opportunities, however, due to the quick turnaround with Globals being in 5 weeks, your extra support would be much appreciated!

Destination Imagination challenges students to think critically, solve complex STEAM problems, and work together as a team. These 5th graders have spent countless hours imagining, creating, preparing, learning, and growing. Now they have the chance to showcase their hard work alongside teams from around the world. This is truly a global event with over 500 teams competing in various challenges.

Over the past 6 months, the team worked hard to solve the Fine Arts Challenge: Becoming Super. They crafted an origin story that shows how one person becomes a superhero and another a supervillain following an event of their making. They had to use theatrical methods to enhance this event and create stage make-up and a technical costume. They earned first place in the regional tournament and second place in the state tournament, and are fine tuning their solution to take the stage at Global Finals.
