Helping One Person At A Time!
LEARNING FOR LIFE GO FUND ME CAMPAIGN
Who are We?
The Learning for Life Center is dedicated to Planetary and Personal Wholeness & Wellness. Though we cannot stop the war in Ukraine and other wars and challenging situations around the world, as a nonprofit organization, we can choose to support people… one person at a time! At this time we are choosing Rymma Kandybka! We are raising money to help Rymma during a challenging moment in her life. We are grateful to be able to help her to make it through this tough time!
Who is Rymma?
Rymma Kandybka arrived in the United States a little over 2 years ago. She came to this country from Ukraine in order to provide safety and security for herself and her son. Rymma is a designer and seamstress with degrees in fashion design and accounting. In Ukraine Rymma was a business owner, clothing designer, and seamstress. She employed a number of women and ran her own business. Here in Topeka, she has found it necessary to work at other jobs in addition to starting her new business in order to make enough money to live.
Rymma’s Designs & Alterations
Rymma purchased an existing alternations shop when the previous owner retired. She is renting a space at the corner of 29th & Oakley (3074 SW 29th., Suite #4) here in Topeka. She is very grateful to have the opportunity to start a new business in a new country, and learn a new language in a new culture. Rymma’s specialty is creating and designing clothing; new or vintage. She enjoys being of service, and making beautiful and unique creations.
Challenging Times
To improve her ability to run a successful business in the United States, Rymma has been taking business classes at Washburn University. She has found it very challenging to make enough money to buy the business, pay rent for the shop, learn how to market a business in the U.S., and go to school. In fact, for months she has been working additional jobs in order to earn enough money to pay for necessary expenses. She has managed to do that for the last two years, always hoping she could make enough from her business alone to be able to quit the other jobs.
Rymma Needs to Pay Her Bills
On September 18th, she lost the job that provided her the income which allowed her to have the ability to pay her apartment rent and the rent for her shop. She filed for unemployment benefits. Because of misunderstandings with the paperwork filed with the Kansas Department of Labor, she has not yet received the money she is entitled to while she looks for another job. This is possibly not going to be resolved for sometime, and in the meantime… Rymma needs to pay her bills.

If you choose the Gift Certificate option, please note in the Comments that this is your choice and we will provide Rymma with your contact information and the amount of your donation.
C. Donate your Time & Talent
If you have social media marketing skills ...Rymma would love to learn how to better market her business. Because of the language and cultural challenges Rymma faces, she has found it difficult to know the nuances of business ownership and marketing in this country. If you know someone who is able to volunteer, please contact Rymma.
