Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center

This November, Mike and I will be running our first 10k ever. The race is called “Run Internacional,” with the first half being in downtown El Paso, TX, and the second half in Downtown Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Not only is it a big fitness milestone for us, it is an opportunity to run for a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. All money raised will go to Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, a non-profit dedicated to serving the legal needs of low income immigrants, including refugees, victims of crime, and families seeking reunification. 

Your donations will directly help their team of lawyers provide proper legal representation to those who might not otherwise be able to afford it. We chose to support this cause because we are both products of immigrant families, just as many Americans are. Las Americas makes the American Dream accessible to all deserving families, regardless of their country of origin or financial standing. Ultimately, immigrant families will be the ones who benefit from your donations. 

All funds will go directly to Las Americas, a 501(c)3 non-profit.

Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center is a non-profit law office that serves low-income immigrants along the U.S./Mexican border. Our organization recently received a grant for $5,000.00 from an anonymous donor with a stipulation that there be another $5,000.00 raised in matching funds within the year. These funds would be put toward assisting deserving immigrants, such as students who want to achieve their educational and career goals and dreams, and to preventing family separation, keeping them together, safe and self-sustaining.
