Hi everyone! I’m trying to raise funds again for a very good cause. Lancashire Mind is our local mental health charity and does great work in our communities. Want to join me in making a difference? This time Mike and me are going to do the Lancashire 3 Peaks on 20th September. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help make an impact. Hi, I’m Reece and I’m taking on a tough 2-hour challenge to raise funds for Lancashire Mind!

On 7th June I’ll be doing 5 pull-ups and 10 push-ups every minute, on the minute, for 2 hours—that’s a serious test of endurance, but it’s nothing compared to the daily battle many people face with their mental health.

Mental health is something that affects everyone, and I’ve seen firsthand how important support, education, and early intervention can be. Lancashire Mind does incredible work providing mental health services, workshops, and resources to help people get the support they need before reaching a crisis point.

Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward funding these vital services, making sure no one has to struggle alone.

Our annual North South match is in memory of Megan Davidson, a club member and friend, who sadly passed away in May 2022. Megan found a love for rugby in Lancaster, picking up the sport for the first time and starting in the 2XV at Roses in the same year. She is a greatly missed member of our Rugby family.

We will be playing North South in Megan's memory and all fundraising proceeds will go to Mind Lancashire, a mental health charity.

UCLan Women's Football Club are running a charity game in support of Mind Lancashire, a charity close to home for many.

Local Vocals is a choir community of 200 local people based across Preston, Chorley, Wigan & St Helens. Each term, we nominate a local charity to support through fundraising events, performances and other fun activities. So far, we have raised over £12,000 for local causes in need, including Willowbrook Hospice, Derian House, St Catherine's Hospice & North West Blood Bikes.

This term, we are honoured to be able to collaborate with the legend that is Tommy Cannon on our charity single, 'Together We'll Be Okay', for mental health charity, Lancashire Mind. The poignant message of this Cannon and Ball classic, 'Together We’ll Be Okay’, fits perfectly with the ethos of the mental health charity, Lancashire Mind, as well as aligning with the values of Local Vocals - togetherness, friendship, community and the power of music!

100% of the proceeds from this single will go towards our fundraising for this incredibly important local charity, and we would be so grateful if you could support us by liking and sharing our video and single online, and donating whatever you can to this fundraising page.

We are inviting you along to join us on our Sunrise to Sunset Summer Solstice Charity Walk!

Three members of our terrific team, Andrea Pollard, Shrona Pilling and Scott Bryce, have set themselves the challenge of walking around our Barden Athletics Track on 20th June to raise money and awareness for the phenomenal charity Lancashire Mind. They've decided to do this on the longest day of the year in the UK, when the sun will rise at 04:37 and not set until 21:43.

Why are we doing it?

In partnership with MIND, we want to help raise awareness of the great and inspiring work that they do.

Here at BLC Group, we constantly promote the connection between healthy bodies and healthy minds, and we actively support the belief that everyone deserves to be happy and healthy. We also want to advocate voluntary adversity on this walk, and work our hardest to help you to push yourself out of your comfort zone and to keep you going at times of struggle, whether that be physically or mentally...

...And what better way to demonstrate this than by walking for hours and hours – over 17 in fact!

Who can join in? 

To put it simply, anyone and everyone!

Whether you're part of a business, community group, school, or just an individual who loves to walk – come and get your steps in with us.
You don’t have to be a member to join in, so shout out about this as far and as wide as you can, and share the news in your workplace, your children’s schools, your sports clubs, and even your community groups!

On Sunday 1st August 2021, we unfortunately lost our adored Uttambhai Ranchhoddas Mistry.

Uttambhai was a well loved Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Grandad, Uncle and Cousin.  His passing has left a massive void in all our lives.

All of Uttambhai’s family have chosen Lancashire Mind Charity for anyone that would like to make a donation in his memory.
