Help Korean Seniors Reclaim Joy and Connection Through Travel
For many Korean seniors in our community, life has been a journey of resilience. They overcame language barriers and cultural challenges to provide a better life for their children. Now, in their later years, many find themselves isolated, burdened by financial stress, and hesitant to step outside their familiar surroundings.
The Korean American Community Coalition is dedicated to enriching the lives of these seniors. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where they can connect, share their stories, and find purpose. One way we aim to achieve this is by organizing group trips where seniors can experience new environments, reduce stress, combat loneliness, and build meaningful friendships.
To make this vision a reality, we are raising funds to purchase a 12-passenger van. This van will allow us to transport our seniors to parks, museums, cultural events, and other destinations where they can rejuvenate and rediscover joy. With your support, we can give them the opportunity to explore, connect, and thrive in ways they never thought possible.
Why This Matters
Mental Health Benefits: Experiencing new places reduces stress and helps alleviate feelings of depression.
Social Connection: Traveling in groups fosters camaraderie and combats loneliness.
Confidence Building: Stepping into new environments helps seniors regain a sense of independence and self-worth.
How You Can Help
Your donation will go directly towards the purchase of the 12-passenger van and the necessary arrangements to ensure our trips are safe and accessible. Every dollar brings us closer to making a difference in the lives of our cherished seniors.
Let’s come together to support the Korean seniors who have given so much to their families and communities. With your help, we can give back and make their golden years truly golden.
Thank you for your generosity!
