Kono Union USA, Inc. is one of the oldest Sierra Leonean diaspora organizations in Greater Metropolitan Area of the District of Columbia. It was formed to promote the general welfare of the Kono people everywhere. Also to contribute to the development and general Welfare of Kono District and the Republic of Sierra Leone through education, relief aid and other social programs undertaken within the means of the Union.
