Kittyland Cat & Kitten Rescue

There is a magical place in Desert Hot Springs CA that has been a refuge for cats and kittens from all over the Coachella Valley for years. It's called Kittyland.
Cats and kittens arrive at Kittyland every day for all sorts of reasons. Some are sick, some separated from their mothers and very young, some left by humans who can care for them no longer. Some healthy and cute. One thing is certain once they arrive they are cared for, they are safe and will usually find a forever home. Thanks to the efforts of the Kittyland staff and volunteers.

Kittyland sits on 2 and one half acres with buildings that have been there for 30 years. It is not glamorous but that is hardly important. The staff and volunteers continue to work their magic.

After recent record wind storms, gusts of 60 and 70 mph and three decades of protection we need a new roof. A new roof for Kittyland will cost $5,000.

Kittyland is a shelter and sanctuary for Cats and Kittens in danger. We own our property but the buildings are very old and in disrepair. We need to refurbish and bring up to code two buildings on the property to make a comfortable, healthy and happy place for our Cats to live. We find loving homes for healthy cats and kittens and offer sanctuary to older cats, We also care for a feral colony that live on our 2 and one half acres, we feed on average 50 cats per day. We are a private enterprise that relies soley on donations, we are operated by volunteers. Please help us achieve our dreams for the Cats, we have raised $5,000 so far which has paid for us to start proceedings with the Planning department, We meet in January for our first review. We are the only shelter open to the public in our valley which caters for Cats and Kittens alone. This project means the world to us and your help would be so gratefully received. In the meantime our Cats and Kittens await their new home.
