Sweet Sally was turned in to the Baldwin Park shelter as stray on 3/9/18. Her stray hold release date was 3/13 so The Rescue Team placed a commitment to adopt on 3/11. Sally was so sick that the shelter called urgently for her to be picked up prior to the release date. She was picked up immediately and taken to the vet, where she was admitted as she was so sick. She initially was treated for a very bad URI, required IV fluids, and medications. The vet thought she was a year old based on her teeth but she sadly weighed only 4 lbs. As she did not want to eat on her own, further work up was done and today it was discovered that her intestines were twisted most likely due to parasites. This is why she is not eating and not growing.  Her prognosis is good with surgery. We are asking for your help to pay for this life saving surgery to give her a chance at life. Any amount would help and is greatly appreciated. 

We are trying to raise $3200 as that is that is the quote we received, but as many of us know, there are oftentimes many complications and much specialized care needed after her surgery. Any amount above that  would be greatly appreciated and will of course continue to be used toward her care. 

Despite all that she has been through, Sally remains sweet, loving, and affectionate, and has quickly captured the hearts of all of us who have had the chance to meet her. The vet is so amazed with how loving she is despite feeling so ill. 

Sally has an amazing foster waiting for her, we just really need your help and generosity to get her to a safe home where she can soak up all the love she craves and deserves.
