Kitsap Childcare and Preschool
Please join us in raising money for Kitsap Childcare and Preschool (KCCP), a non-profit dedicated to providing quality childcare and preschool for families of all incomes.
2020 has been a difficult year; it's also a year we are incredibly proud of. This year we:
-Temporarily closed for the first time in our 57 year history in order to keep families safe during this unprecedented pandemic.
-Three months later, we reopened - stronger and better! With grit, determination and brand new procedures we were able to reopen and to keep teachers and children safe.
-Serve low-income families, with 42% of our children paying reduced tuition. High quality early childhood education is essential for kids.
-Implemented living wages of at least $15 per hour for all staff.
-Maintained affordable tuition, lower than our peer daycares.
KCCP has lots to be proud of, but we are facing significant financial challenges. Covid-19 precautions have increased the costs of staffing, cleaning, PPE and other supplies. We believe that We are working hard to develop income streams that don’t rely on continuous tuition increases that we know many of our families will struggle to pay.
It takes a village to raise a child: and you’re our village! This year more than ever, families of all income levels need affordable childcare and preschool. For many families, affordable childcare is the critical factor in ensuring that parents can keep working and that their children will have a safe place to go. Please consider making a financial contribution to keep our center open and affordable. We’re a 501c(3) non-profit, so your donations are tax deductible.
KCCP has served Kitsap kids since 1968. We’ve consistently been here for our community, providing quality childcare, preschool and kindergarten preparation. Please help us stay strong for the next 50 years.
