Phoenix Founders Scholarship Fund
40 for 40!
Hey friends,
It's my birthday, and this year represents two major milestones in my life. I'm turning 40, and my founding class of scholars at KIPP STRIVE Academy are graduating high school and heading to college!
As you know, the journey to found KIPP STRIVE Academy has truly been a labor of love. I'm forever grateful for the blood, sweat, and tears that so many people have poured into bringing this vision for a school grounded in community and equity into reality. What an amazing journey these last 8 years have been!
In honor of these two important milestones, I would like to give back to the scholars that have given me so much. I am launching a $40k fundraising campaign to represent each year of my life, and to establish the inaugural Phoenix Founders Scholarship Fund - a needs based scholarship designed to provide financial support to those scholars who need it the most as they enter into college.
Your generous donation will ensure that finances are not a barrier to excel in college and beyond. After an interview and completion of the selection process, recipients will be awarded $10,000 scholarships.
There are three things that I would like to ask you to do:
- Please consider making a donation to the Phoenix Founders Scholarship Fund.
- Please forward this email/link to your friends, family, and colleagues who you think would consider getting involved in helping us establish this scholarship fund.
- Post the fundraising link and share it on Facebook, Twitter, or other social media platforms.
