Join us in supporting Wade as he represents KIC-IT in the 6th Annual Dancing With The Johnson County Stars.   Wade has set a goal of raising $5,000!  Wade is the Director of Production Control at KYB and has worked there for 27 years.  Wade is married, has 2 children and lives in Greenwood.  We are very excited to have him as our celebrity dancer this year and hope you will join us in supporting him as he works to raise money and assist us in bringing awareness to homeless youth ages 16-25 in Johnson County. 

Dancing With The Johnson County Stars (DWTJCS) takes place over two nights each September at the Artcraft Theater in Franklin.  Eight agencies throughout Johnson County participate in the event each year.  The agencies compete to raise the most money and win the "Mirrored Ball" Trophy on Saturday evening.  The celebrity dancers are partnered up with a professional from Five Star Dance Studio and will take classes over 4 months to learn two dances.  Each dancer will showcase both dances each night of the event and be scored by a panel of celebrity judges.  The scores will determine who wins "Best Dancer" each night.    Along with the best dancer award, the dancer who raises the most money for their agency is awarded the "Most Valuable Dancer" trophy on Saturday night.  

KIC-IT provides assistance to youth 16-25 that are struggling with homelessness. Our Case Manager meets 1 on 1 with our youth to provide guidance and develop goals to overcome barriers in the following areas: Housing, Employment, Education, Transportation, Financial Stability and Health. Our goal at KIC-IT is to provide a network of empowerment for youth to break the cycle of homelessness and promote independence.
