KENTUCKY EQUINE ADOPTION CENTER

KYEAC needs your help to keep our horses fed and healthy this winter. Hay is one of our essential- and most expensive needs- during the winter months. We are anticipating needing at least 110 roll bales of hay to get through the winter, totaling $6,600. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us provide the nourishment our horses rely on each day. By contributing to our hay fund, you're ensuring that our rescued horses stay warm, full, and healthy all season long. Thank you for helping us give these deserving horses a cozy and happy winter!

The Kentucky Equine Adoption Center is raising funds to purchase alfalfa hay needed to feed two mares and their foals from an emaciation/neglect case, as well as two nursemares hired to feed the foals. The mares and foals were accepted into KYEAC care in July. The mares are being refed according to the UC Davis refeeding protocol, and the foals have been paired with nursemares to receive the nutrition they need, that their mothers were unable to provide. Both mares and foals have made wonderful progress, but more alfalfa hay is needed to ensure their progress continues, and to support the lactating nursemares' milk production.
