Cricket Ground & Litup Nets in Katy
Katy Youth Cricket (KYC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-based organization with the vision to impact the lives of young children by providing programs that build character, teamwork, respect and promote healthy choices through the game of cricket. KYC was formed in 2013, since then has been providing platform for youth development and cricketing activities in the greater Houston area.
KYC is proud to announce that after two years of discussions with the City, County and Community officials, we have received approvals to build infrastructure for youth cricket development. KYC will be undertaking following projects in the coming months:
1) Nets for batting/bowling: It will be under the roof, lighted facility with electric connections for bowling machines. This enables our kids to practice rain or shine, daylight or dark and enables our coaching programs to happen any day of the week.
2) New cricket ground with concrete pitch: Dedicated cricket ground with permanent pitch for practice or games. Currently our kids have to travel 30-45 minutes for practice or games. Existing facilities are hard to obtain because of high demand with various adult and kids clubs. Having a dedicated youth ground within close proximity will benefit everyone in the community.
3) Cricket pitch at an existing multipurpose facility: Install cricket pitch in a public facility which would allow the ground to be used for cricket along with other sports.
In order to undertake these and future projects, KYC has initiated a fundraiser for $25,000 and would appreciate your support for these initiatives. These plans are a game changer for youth cricket in Katy and catalyst in enhancing and transforming our youth and communities at large.
As a non-profit charitable organization the campaign is being administered under GoFundMe Certified Charity Campaign (through PayPal Giving Fund, also a 501(c)(3) charitable organization) which will allow for tax deductions for certain individuals.
