Jewish Theatre Collaborative

Jewish Theatre Collaborative (JTC) presents original, professional theater performances of Jewish stories as a springboard for launching thoughtful and engaging conversations. It creates original adaptations of Jewish stories that explore values, traditions, and history to increase cultural competency about Jewish culture, and to foster an appreciation for diversity and understanding for shared human experience. According to JTC, it has created more than 30 stage and touring programs that have catalyzed audience discussion, opened minds, challenged stereotypes, and opened conversations around complex issues of cultural dislocation, humor as a survival tool, Arab-Jewish relations, and public health. In 2013, JTC launched Page2Stage (P2S), which focuses on one literary work as the centerpiece for a mainstage adaptation and an entire season of smaller presentations/performances for touring. The company's productions are staged at Portland’s Miracle Theatre.
