Want to join me in making a difference? Many of you have seen my social media posts volunteering with the JeffCo Eats program over the last several months. Who is JeffCo Eats? We move the needle by feeding hungry school children and families in Jefferson county all year round. We are a mobile food pantry delivering weekly and year-round to over 27 schools. We also deliver year-round to seven Metro West Housing Section 8 communities. Finally, we provide food for other nonprofits who need a greater supply of food for the local communities they help. We bring social justice with food choices targeted to our clients. We are a volunteer led organization - Our volunteers graciously donate their time to drive delivery trucks, pack boxes and stock shelves. They are a dedicated group driven by the strong belief that NO child should be hungry.

Why are we important? Because no child or family should go hungry in Jefferson County, CO. Hunger during a school day impedes learning and social emotional growth. Food Insecurity is at an all time high – surging growth needs surging help. We are solving root issues of hunger – we deliver directly to schools with shelf-stable pantry foods, produce and snack foods. We are able to serve 400 families per week now and want to double that to 800 families per week in the next 18 months.
