Jazba is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that focuses on spreading South Asian cultural awareness through dance and the arts.

Inspired by the 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, Jazba has partnered with the non-profit, Women In Need (WIN)--an organization that rehabilitates the lives of impoverished South Asian women who suffer or have suffered from sexual assault, HIV/AIDS, leprosy, and the pitfalls of poverty.

This fall, Jazba would like to help fundraise for WIN’s Health Care and Social Welfare project for underprivileged women in Nagpur & the Wardha district. Most underprivileged women are unaware of legal aid and suffer abuses in silence. Many times, women with little or no education are unaware of their legal rights and the availability of free legal aid. In other situations, women who try to use these services are exploited and forced to pay bribes when they shouldn't have to.

The objective of WIN’s project is to help up to 1000 underprivileged women from Nagpur & the Wardha district access medical, social and legal support. In order to accomplish this goal, WIN is fundraising to hire 2 Community Health & Social Coordinators who will be trained and employed to detect, assess, and support vulnerable women in the targeted areas.

Over the past 11 years, Jazba has raised over $169,000 for WIN and is excited to continue its support. We would love for you to join us in our mission towards helping Women In Need by funding this initiative. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!

$11.00 - Provides a WIN patient with three home-cooked, nutritious meals per day for one week.

$21.00 - Covers one month's rent expense for a WIN patient living in the slum areas of Nagpur.

$51.00 - Provides a WIN patient with nutritional supplements/protein powders daily for two months.

$101.00 - Provides a WIN patient with three home-cooked, nutritious meals per day for three months.

$151.00 - Covers six month's rent expense for a WIN patient living in the slums of Nagpur.

$201.00 - Provides a WIN patient with proper psychiatric treatment and counseling for one year.
